How a production career turned into a nationally recognized adventure brand
Hi, I’m Libby Riddle—television producer turned electric sports entrepreneur. I’m the founder of E-BOARDERS, and this is the backstory of how a small-town Montana girl went from producing for primetime productions to powering up an electric empire—one ride at a time.

producer then pivot to the adventure market❓
I wasn't always in the business of selling adventure. Somewhere between chasing deadlines and chasing waves, I realized I wanted more from my work than just producing other people’s stories—I wanted to live my own.
Before E-BOARDERS was even a twinkle in my entrepreneurial eye, I was elbow-deep in edit bays, control rooms, and cross-country shoot schedules. I spent over 15 years producing and writing for nearly every major network in the industry—NBC, CBS, FOX, HGTV, TLC, HBO, MTV, Food Network, and Discovery to name a few—developing reality formats, managing story arcs, directing crews, and crafting emotionally compelling moments from raw footage.
Whether I was handling celebrity cast interviews, directing a challenge on set, or tightening scripts under deadline, my job was to bring unforgettable human stories to life. Unscripted TV wasn’t just my career—it was my passion, and I climbed the ladder the old-school way: with grit, hustle, and a relentless love for the process.

But adventure? That’s been woven into my life for as long as I can remember
I was raised on the shores of Flathead Lake, Montana, with snow-covered winters on Big Mountain in Whitefish and sun-soaked summers paddleboarding, kayaking, waterskiing, and exploring every inch of the valley I could reach. My love for outdoor sports was always part of me—but I never imagined it would be my career.

So how did I go from TLC to Electric Jetskis?
After attending the University of Hawaii briefly, then graduating with honors (and a letterman's jacket as a UM cheerleader) from the University of Montana’s prestigious Journalism School in Radio/Television Production and Media Arts, I used my savings—earned working as a beer cart girl at the Missoula and Polson Country Clubs—to forge my way into the entertainment capital of the world and make my mark in Los Angeles.

I got my feet wet instantly on big hits like 'Friends', 'Two and a Half Men', 'The Drew Carey Show,' 'What I Like About You,' 'The Jerry Lewis Telethon,' 'Dancing with the Stars,' 'America's Got Talent,' 'The Biggest Loser,' 'The Bachelor,' 'American Idol,' 'So You Think You Can Dance,' and just about every Awards show and Celebrity Reality show that came out in those early days of my career.

And yes, living the dream on the beach in Los Angeles, right next to the boardwalk where electric bikes, beach cruisers, and friendly neighbors zip by all day long—total score. And maybe even a little foreshadowing.
But for the sake of story, let’s fast-forward through 15 years of cross-country shoots, network deals, union strikes, L.A. fires, and the slow erosion of domestic production as projects shipped overseas. Somewhere in the chaos, I realized I was craving something more grounded. More local. More to my roots. More…me.

⚡️This isn't a career change. It's a full-throttle reinvention⚡️
It’s not that I don’t want to keep feeding people primetime entertainment—I absolutely do, and I still am. But I also wanted to offer something more hands-on. I wanted to bring the kind of adventure families were watching on TV and thinking, “I wish we could do that” into real life. I wanted to make that possible—not just aspirational.
That’s when E-BOARDERS was born.
What started as a simple idea to sell a few electric boards quickly became a full-blown mission to curate the most exciting, high-performance, and family-friendly outdoor gear on the market—products that didn’t just look cool online, but actually performed in real-world conditions. Whether it’s a golf scooter, a jetboard, an e-foil, a family-sized iSUP, or a surf-style paddle bike, I test every product myself and make sure it’s worth your time and your wallet.

And yes, I still edit my own promos. From primetime to paddle time.
Today, I look out from my beachfront patio in LA onto that same boardwalk or across the water from my dock on Flathead Lake, where an electric surfcycle or electric wakeboard might be gliding by. The whole thing feels like one big daily demo reel—and honestly, it all feels serendipitous. Like this path—however unconventional—was always meant to be mine.
And honestly, it’s wild how full-circle it all feels. With my degrees in Journalism and Media Arts from UM, storytelling has always been the throughline, the common thread of everything I do. From scripting cliffhanger finales to crafting viral product promos, I learned how to hook people emotionally—and now I get to apply that same creative energy to connect people to experiences they didn’t know they needed.
E-BOARDERS became the intersection of my production chops, my lifelong love of outdoor sports, and my obsession with adventure gear that performs. Somehow, every piece of my past came together perfectly—like storyboarding a scene that just clicks. The storytelling instincts I honed in television, my obsession with gear that actually works, the joy of outdoor adventure I grew up with, and my ability to apply production hours and personal deadlines to make it all happen. And I still get to produce content that's just as entertaining and energizing. BOARDERS became the sum of it all.
E-BOARDERS; It’s not just a brand; it’s the convergence of everything I love, everything I’ve learned, and everything I want to share. It’s my greatest story yet—one that’s still being written with every wave we ride and every rider we welcome.
It’s not just a community hub for water lovers, outdoor pros, and families who want more from their weekends, it's a lifestyle. We partner with resorts, summer camps, RV parks, country clubs, universities, sporting goods stores, outfitters, and property management companies to help them level up their offerings and give their guests something unforgettable.
From journalism to jetboards. From scripting shows to scripting my own story. I’m Libby Riddle, and I built E-BOARDERS to help you ride, paddle, surf, and glide your way into the best memories of your life.
And trust me, this is just the beginning.
